Clashes Between People and IRGC, Strikes and Protests Across Iran

Iran Uprising - No. 145

On Tuesday night, April 24, the people of Marivan in the Kurdistan province clashed with the criminal Revolutionary Guards (IRGC). The clash took place when Pasdar-Colonel (IRGC colonel) Kaveh Kohneh-Poushi along with another Pasdar, Latif Nikpay, murdered an inhabitant from one of the villages of Marivan. The people burnt down the houses of the two criminals in protest of this crime.

Regime's Authorities Acknowledge the Catastrophic Economic Crisis in the Country and Their Fear of Explosion of People's Anger

Iran: One Week Passed Over the Strikes in Border Provinces

On Saturday, April 21, the strike of merchants and shopkeepers in the provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah and West Azarbaijan continued for the seventh consecutive day. The merchants of Sar-e-Pol-e Zahab and Mahabad also had joined the protest on Friday. Meanwhile, repressive forces have arrested a number of strikers in recent days to prevent the spread of these protests.

Protests of workers, looted people and other deprived people across the country continue

The uprising of thousands of Kazerun's people, especially the brave youth, continued on the afternoon of April 19th for the fifth day. The demonstration was held while the city's fake council and Friday prayer preacher and government media outlawed any gathering until the Kazerun city separation plan is determined.

Continuation of Strikes in Kurdistan, Kermanshah and West Azarbaijan Provinces, and Arresting a Number of Protesters

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, April 18 and 19, the strike of merchants and shopkeepers in the cities of the border regions of Kurdistan, Kermanshah and West Azarbaijan provinces continued in wider dimensions than before. In addition to the cities of Javanrood, Baneh, Marivan and Saghez, the merchants in the towns of Sardasht, Mahabad, Boukan and Piranshahr also joined the strikers.

Maryam Rajavi Urges Support for Popular Uprising and Action to Release Those Arrested in Iran

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), lauded the strikes by the bazaaris and merchants in Baneh, Marivan, Saqqez, Javanrud, Sardasht, and other cities along the western Iranian border, the courageous uprising by the people of Kazerun, the widespread protest by the people of Saman and other cities of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, the demonstrations by the looted residents of Tehran, Ahvaz, Rasht, and other cities, and the protests by families of those arrested during the past weeks’ uprisings in cities in the Province of Khuzestan. She urged the young people to take part and support these protests.
