Regime Majlis deputy worried about continuous uprising and regime fissures

Regime Majlis deputy worried about continuous uprising and regime fissuresNCRI – A member of the regime’s Parliament (Majlis) from the faction of the Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, has voiced anxiety over the persistence of the year-long nationwide uprising, which he described as “soft warfare” and demanded a firm response against protestors.

According to the state-run Fars news agency, the Majlis deputy, Bahonar, who was speaking at the so-called Islamic Engineers Society, said, “Unfortunately, today, in the context of the soft war, cultural mutiny is forming with the intention of political rebuke and it is necessary to firmly confront the examples of soft cultural war in society. Officials must be at the forefront of this and implement the law approved by the Supreme Revolutionary Cultural Council which has thus far been delayed.”

Bahonar also pointed to the incurable divisions among various factions tied to the clerical regime’s Supreme Leader, and said, “One of the existing threats in the Fundamentalist faction is posed by a small part of it which is intensifying its efforts to oust other parts.”

He added, “This minority faction accuses anyone not towing its line to be tied to the world’s arrogant powers.”

Bahonar urged the defeated faction of the regime to ask for a pardon and to distance itself from the regime’s enemies, which will then qualify it to revamp itself within the ruling system.
