NCRI – The Iranian regime’s media supervisory board in Markazi province has in its recent meeting issued warnings to three papers while closing a local publication, according to the state-run Fars news agency.
Fars quoted the director of the board as saying that the weekly Medina of Dialogue, which distributes in Markazi province, has been shut down on charges of “disseminating lies against the country’s officials and institutions as well as spreading rumors and false information.” The case has been sent to the regime’s judiciary.
Nasim Bidari, another publication, has been warned and sued for “spreading lies against the country’s officials and creating fissures among social sectors.” Two other publications, Razm Avar and the World of Karate, met the same fate for dealing with “false meditations and fabricated ideas that run counter to Islamic standards without logically and professionally rejecting these ideas.”
