Iranians not welcoming another term of Khatami

NCRI – In a poll taken by VOA from 39,678 Iranians on February 16, 89 percent did not welcome a third term of Mohammad Khatami, former mullahs' president from 1997 to 2005, as Iran's next president. The mullahs' presidential elections are scheduled for next June.  The question asked by the VOA of those polled was that "will Khatami's third term presidency make any difference in their lives?"

Before formally announcing his candidacy, Khatami asked Khamenei's approval for entering the race. He said in a recent interview with the state-run media that his loyalty to the "Supreme Leader is not questionable."

Since the inception of the mullahs' regime in 1979, none of the sham elections held under their rule made any difference in the Iranian people's lives. As it has been proven over the years the last word is that of the mullahs' Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in all elections.
