NCRI – Abolhassan Nouri, the Friday prayer leader in the southwestern city of Khormashahr described the recent parliamentary elections as "fraudulent." Since extensive vote rigging took place. The voters were enticed, intimidated, and votes were traded, reported a Persian language website close to former Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Mohsen Rezai.

"If there were not for my timely efforts, critics [of election process] would not have been freed [from detention]," the report quoted Abolhassan Nouri.

According to the report, in meeting with the provisional officials Abolhassan Nouri complained about "mistreatment of critics [of election process]," and accused Khoramshahr's governor of not paying any attention to the reports of "widespread fraud."

He said the evidence revealing the frauds are in the possession of some government institutions.  "Some people were transferred from other constituencies to Khoramshahr," he added.
