Iran: Two reported hanged in public

NCRI – According to information from inside Iran two men were reported to have been hanged in public in the city of Qazvin, west of Tehran, last week.

One of the men was identified as Ahmad Pirany. They were alleged to have been involved in drug smuggling.

Monthly human rights report, "Monitoring Human Rights in Iran" for May 2006, compiled by the NCRI’s human rights working group was released this week.
