Iran: Opposition blamed for disruption in Rafsanjani’s speech in Qom

Iran: Opposition blamed for disruption in Rafsanjani's speech in Qom NCRI – Following the chaos during a speech by Hashemi Rafsanjani, head of the regime’s Council for the State Exigency and second powerful man in the clerical regime, in the holly city of Qom yesterday, a state-run daily blamed the incident on the People’s Mojahedin, the main opposition to the religious dictatorship in Iran.

The state-run daily Kayhan described yesterday’s incident "exactly the same as what the Mojahedin do in some meetings under the guise of Hizbollahis," with the intention of exploiting the differences within the regime which already exists.

The daily compared Qom’s incident to other activities by the People’s Mojahedin in the country which accepted the responsibility later. It reiterated that this is only "one out of tens or perhaps hundreds of similar examples."
