Iran: Majlis members warn that legitimacy comes from the Supreme Leader

NCRI – As rifts widen at the apex of the clerical regime’s hierarchy, 205 members deputies in the regime’s Majlis (Parliament) have issued a statement warning rival factions that the legitimacy of all posts within the regime is grounded on to deference to the Supreme Leader, the state-run TV reported on Sunday. According to the TV, “The statement by members of parliament stresses the imperative of the elites’ attention to what is said or remains unsaid and also the necessity of safeguarding unity and preventing the creation of rifts and divisions among officials. It also says that the legitimacy of all positions in the Islamic Republic system arises from being in line with the positions and policies approved by the Supreme Leader.”
