The mullahs' police, known as State Security Forces (SSF), setup checkpoints alongside the main highway to the Mazandaran Woods stopping vehicles with mixed gender occupants preventing what they called immoral behaviors.

The SSF units stopped cars to advice the citizens on observing the Iranian regime's imposed moral codes.
