Egyptian businessman files complaint against Iranian consul in Cairo after death threat

NCRI – An Egyptian businessman has prepared a written complaint against the Iranian regime’s consul in Cairo, alleging that the consul blackmailed and threatened him with death, the Egyptian daily Almasri-alyoum reported on Saturday.

According to the complaint, the consul, Seyyed Takhteh, has threatened the Egyptian, Ahmad Nabiyeh, who owns Sama Taridanj company, which exports agricultural commodities.

According to Nabiyeh, the consul acted as a middleman between him and several Iranian merchants. He says that the consul made death threats against him after he failed to transfer some funds through Iranian banks due to restrictions on those banks. The Egyptian man later filed a complaint against Takhteh with the police.

When Takhteh tried to entice and blackmail the businessman to withdraw his complaint, he refused to proceed with the business deal citing the possibility that the funds could be used to fund terrorist operations.
