NCRI – The Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran expresses its abhorrence over the recent aggressive measures targeting women and girls this New Year’s Eve in a number of European cities including Cologne, Stuttgart, Hamburg. On behalf of Iranian women, especially those who have risen in the struggle against the religious fascism ruling Iran, this committee also expresses its sympathy with the victims of these criminal aggressions and calls for the identification and speedy punishment of those perpetrators involved.

Ms. Sarvnaz Chitsaz, Chair of the Women’s Committee, emphasizing the responsibility of relevant entities involved in protecting the rights and freedoms of women, said the unity and solidarity of women, wherever they may be, is the best leverage to prevent any repeat and expansion of such hateful events.

Muslims, refugees and pain-stricken asylum seekers from Syria, Iran and other countries must not be tainted for these evil and criminal measures, and this should also not lead to increasing pressures against them, she reiterated.

Those who are victims of warmongering by fundamentalists, extremists and terrorists in the Middle East have lost their homes, jobs and all their property, and are in need of effective support and attention by freedom-loving and humanitarian human beings, Ms. Chitsaz added.
