Jude Kirton-Darling MEP declares solidarity with women of Iran

NCRI – Judith Kirton-Darling, a Member of the European Parliament from the United Kingdom, has declared her solidarity with Iranian women and the Iranian Resistance’s struggle to bring freedom and democracy to Iran.

In a message this week to the women of Iran, Ms. Kirton-Darling said:

Hi, I’m Jude Kirton-Darling, Labour MEP for the North-East of England, and I’d like to wish all of my Iranian women friends in Iran and outside Iran a very happy International Women’s Day.

We stand with you in your fight for free and fair elections, in your fight for full respect for women’s rights and women’s place in society, the ability to stand for election – like I have and represent my constituents in the European Parliament – ability to live and work as you please, those fundamental international women’s rights that we are all working for around the world.

So it’s really great that last week Mrs. [Maryam] Rajavi was in the European Parliament to bring that message to MEPs and to let us hear directly her perspective about Iranian women’s rights.

We stand with you, we are fighting with you and we share our solidarity with you.
