Iran: Internet cafés become gender segregated in southern city

NCRI – Iranian regime’s officials in southern city of Gachsaran have announced plans for gender segregation in internet cafés.

The governor was quoted by state-run Fars news agency on Tuesday that some internet cafés will be designated for women and some for men.

Shafiee said: The details of the plan will be discussed next month and will be executed.

The governor said there are 270 Internet Cafes in the city out which 50 are working without license.

“One of the most important problems is their activities in the underground and second floor. For this reason a greater monitoring is needed on the way these internet cafes are operated,” he added.
