Iran: First women only university in Semnan province opens in September

NCRI – In line with the Iranian regime plans for gender segregation in universities in Iran, the first women only university in central province of Semnan in Iran will open in September.
Saifollah Sa’adeddin, head of this university has declared that the university will be state-operated and work with the approval of Ministry of Science and shall abide by state university regulations.

According to the report by state-run Mehr News Agency, this university shall function in three branches with 40 students in each branch.

According to these same report, 25 of those who gain admission in each branch shall study daytime while 15 will attend night classes.

The gender segregation plan is strongly opposed by both university students and professors.
