NCRI – A middle-aged woman in Qazvin (Northwestern Iran) was hospitalized after being attacked with acid.

The woman had referred to the court a week earlier, stating that she had been attacked in the face with acid. Her complaint, however, did not bring about any judicial action by the regime’s judiciary, until she was acid-attacked for a second time.

Trying to describe the details of throwing acid at a middle-aged woman in Qazvin, the Director of Public Relations at Qazvin’s Department of Justice Mehralian said: “the victim is a 44-year-old woman who is currently hospitalized due to acid burns and at the moment she is unable to speak”, according to Rokna state news agency on November 17.

The regime’s official claimed that following the first incident no signs of injuries or burns was seen on the woman’s face. “less than two weeks ago, the woman referred to a court, complaining about being attacked with acid during a family conflict and stating that battery water (acid) had been thrown on her face. But after being examined, no signs of injuries or burns was discovered on her face”, he added.

Mehralian said that: “the woman referred to the court once again on November 14, complaining about being attacked in the face with acid for a second time. “

The Director of Public Relations at Qazvin’s Department of Justice added: “the woman is currently hospitalized due to the severity of her injuries, though unable to speak and introduce the offender.”

Also ISNA news agency reported on November 14 on another acid attack in Tehran’s Afsarieh district during which acid was thrown on a 24-year-old woman’s head and face.
