Bassij force called in to back up SSF in suppressing women in Iran

NCRI – Today, Chief of Social Crimes Unit in the State Security Forces (SSF), Brig. Gen. Ahmad Rouzbahani said, “The law has permitted the Bassij force to encounter the obvious crimes. Aside from SSF units, the Bassij personnel are allowed to stop individuals [on the streets] not complying with the dress codes,” reported the state-run news agency ILNA.

Referring to April 21 as the day for starting the Social Security plan implementation nationwide, he added, “Bassij does not need to take orders from the police. This force is not under the control of the SSF.”

Rouzbahani reiterated that SSF responsibilities in the operation do not relieve the Bassij of its duties.  

Clearly, the misogynist leaders of the mullahs are trying to suppress the volatile state of the society under the pretext of “mal-veiling.
