The Iranian regime’s crackdown on dissidents and media undermines the rights of all citizens of Iran, Baroness Lister of Burtersett, a Member of the United Kingdom’s House of Lords, has said.

The regime in Iran blocks around five million websites dedicated to arts, social issues and independent news, Baroness Lister said.
“The early celebration of International Women’s Day in Paris on February 27 with the participation of prominent women’s rights activists and members of the Iranian Resistance is a welcome contribution to the struggle for social justice and human rights in Iran,” she added.
