Thirteen Iranian Cities Joined Abadan’s Uprising for the Fourth Night Running

Protests in Ahvaz, Khorramshahr, Omidiyeh, Shiraz, Behbahan, Shahinshahr, Isfahan, Yazd, Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, Mahshahr, Sar-bandar, and Baghmalek in Support of Abadan’s Uprising

On Friday, May 27, 2022, on the fifth day of the Abadan uprising, people from different cities, including Ahvaz, Khorramshahr, Omidiyeh, Shiraz, Behbahan, Shahinshahr, Isfahan, Yazd, Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, Mahshahr, Sar-Bandar, and Baghmalek took to the streets in solidarity with the brave people of Abadan, chanting anti-regime slogans and protesting against the clerical regime’s crimes and plunder.

In Abadan, enraged residents showed their outrage against the regime by chanting:  “Khamenei is a murderer, his rule is null and void,” “Khamenei, shame on you, leave the country alone,” “Basiji get lost,” “Death to Basiji, the shameless thugs.” Residents also gathered in protest outside the municipality while chanting, “Our enemy is here. They lie, saying it’s America,” “I will kill, whoever killed my brother,” “Have no fear, we are all together,” and “We will not accept humiliation.”

The regime’s repressive forces attacked the protesters, opening fire on them. However, despite wounding several people, the rebellious youths resisted and challenged the security forces.

In Ahvaz, people demonstrated solidarity with the people of Abadan. The protesters chanted, “Death to the dictator,” and shamed the regime’s repressive forces. Omidiyeh district in Khuzestan also witnessed protests in support of Abadan’s uprising. The protesters in Omidiyeh chanted, “We will not accept humiliation.”

In Khorramshahr, protesters chanted, “Death to the dictator,” “I will kill whoever killed my brother,” “Raisi, shame on you, leave the country alone,” “People of Khuzestan will die, but will not accept humiliation,” and “Leave Syria alone, think about us.” Referring to the regime officials, the protesters also chanted, “They colluded with the thieves, and killed the nation,” and “We will fight, and will take back this city.”

The people of Shahin Shahr in Isfahan Province expressed their sympathy for the brave people of Abadan, chanting, “Guns, tanks are no longer effective, mullahs must go,” “I will kill, whoever killed my brother,” and “The resolute people of Abadan, those killed (under the rubble) were your brothers. They also shamed the state Radio and TV for censoring the news of the Metropole catastrophe, chanting, “Shame on the State Radio and TV,” and “Leave Syria alone, think about us.” In Mahshahr, people took to the streets in protest and chanted, “So many crimes in all these years, death to the leader (Khamenei),” and “I will kill whoever killed my brother.”

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), hailed the people of the arisen cities and said: Through their continuing their protests, the people are conveying the message that Khamenei and his president, Raisi, should be terrified because the Iranian people are all together and no longer intimidated by the regime’s suppression.

“The nation’s message to Abadan, condolences!”

“Shame on IRIB!” (state TV and Radio Organization),

“My martyred brother, I will avenge you!”

In the end, the people call on each other to not leave the scene and gather stones.

Shahinshahr, Isfahan Province- people chant: “Shame on IRIB!”

Behbahan, Khuzestan Province- people chant: “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, we’re all in this together!”

Bushehr, Bushehr Province- people mourn in solidarity with their fellow sisters and brothers in Abadan

Ahvaz, Khuzestan Province- people chant: “We all are fighters, so let’s fight!”

Abadan, Khuzestan Province- people chant: “Khamenei is a murderer and his rule is doomed!”

Mahshahr, Khuzestan Province- people chant: “Death to the oppressor!”

Sar Bandar, Khuzestan Province, Central Iran- people mourn in solidarity with Abadan

Shiraz, Fars Province, Central Iran- people mourn in solidarity with Abadan

Bagh Malek, Khuzestan Province- people mourn in solidarity with Abadan

Omidiyeh, Khuzestan Province- people chant: “Artillery, tanks and firecrackers, the clerics must get lost!”

Yazd, Yazd Province, Central Iran- people mourn in solidarity with Abadan

Ahvaz, Khuzestan Province- people chant: “Our enemy is right here, they lie when they say it’s America!”

Shahishahr, Isfahan Province- people object to the apprehension of protestors and chant: “Let him go, let him go!”

Abadan, Khuzestan Province- security forces are dispatched to confront the protests

Abadan, Khuzestan Province- Security forces begin to shoot and a voice is heard shouting: “Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot!”

Abadan, Khuzestan Province- people clash with security forces

Abadan, Khuzestan Province- voice says: “These bastards are shooting teargas towards people to disperse the people. Why are you doing this? You are our enemies, and no one else.”

Abadan, Khuzestan Province- security forces attack the protestors

Abadan, Khuzestan Province- voice says: “They fired teargas and now they want to block the road with their car. Look, they’re shooting these bunch of filths. They have put on masks.”

She then tells someone to turn out the light.
