NCRI – In an interview with Saudi Arabia’s Elaph website, Yemen’s minister of endowments and guidance, Ahmad Attia, said Iran regime must “get out of Yemen” and “stop interfering in Yemen’s affairs”, adding: “The Iranian regime’s interference has complicated Yemen’s affairs.”

“If the (Iranian backed) Houthi militants spoke as Yemeni citizens and asked for political participation, we would not be in the current situation. The Houthis listen to other parties. Iranian regime pursues expansion in the Arabic region and that is why they support the militias in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon, just as the Houthis firing missiles toward Mecca proves the fact that they target not only Yemen but also the territory of brother nation Saudi Arabia,” he said.

Yemen’s Minister of Endowments and Guidance added: “The Houthi militants implement purely the Iranian regime’s plans. If they wanted political participation, they should have formed a political party, entered election, and applied democracy; but assuming power through military coup and attacking cities are unacceptable.”
