NCRI – General Jeffrey Buchanan, the U.S. military spokesperson in Iraq said: The American forces have increased their air and land reconnaissance missions in areas leading to their bases in the Iraqi provinces of Babel, Divaniya, and al-Kut to confront the militias backed by the Iranian regime, Al-Dastour daily reported on July 23.
These forces reserve the right of self defense in accordance to the security agreements.
American forces in the Diyala province have established launch pads for firing advanced missiles near American bases in north of Baquba to control the presence of armed groups in the vicinity of U.S. bases.
