Tensions running high in the regime’s ruling faction

NCRI – In the midst of growing tensions within the ruling faction of the regime, a speech by the mullahs’ president was interrupted in the city of Shiraz, according to state-run news agencies on Monday.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was speaking in the southern city when an agent of the paramilitary Bassij spoke out against him, creating an embarrassing moment for the mullahs’ president on live state-run TV.

Prior to the speech, one of the members of the regime’s Assembly of Experts, a representative of the regime’s Supreme Leader and two other mullahs had left the scene in protest.

According to state-run news agencies, mullah Imani, a representative of the mullahs’ Supreme Leader, Seyyed Ali Dastgheib, a member of the Assembly of Experts, mullah Mohammad Mehdi Dasgheib, and mullah Zebarjad left the speech by using a musical performance as an excuse to protest.
