Syria’s Democratic Coalition: We Won’t Allow Iranian-Backed Militias to Enter Syria

NCRI – We won’t allow Iraqi militants affiliated to Iranian regime to pass through areas under our control. The Kurdish commander of Syrian democratic coalition forces stated: in trans-regional newspaper “Asharq Al-Awsat.”

He stressed that, The Iranian presence is not acceptable for these forces under any circumstances. They won’t allow a bridge between Iraqi militia affiliated with Iran and the Syrian regime.

There have been recent reports, that tensions between Syrian democratic coalition forces and Iraq’s Shiite militias affiliated with Iran is escalating.
 
Reports also indicated that the transmission and entering of Iraqi militants to Syria had started and as a result on May 18, American aircraft bombed a military convoy flying Syrian flags.
 
Iraqi Shiite militias in Syria backed by Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) are siding with Bashar al-Assad, and are supporting Assad’s military.

Syria’s democratic coalition consists of Kurdish and Arab fighters. The forces supporting Kurdish people makes up a large part of this coalition. An American official announced on Tuesday, that weapon shipments to Kurdish fighters have already been started. Their forces will be assisted to free Al-Raqa city, which is under ISIL occupation.
