NCRI – Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the Iranian regime’s statements which described the kingdom as “playing with the fire” in the Gulf region, a Saudi senior official told al-Arabiya on Friday.
In a statement publicized by the regime’s state-run news agency IRNA on Thursday, the Iranian regime’s Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said that Saudi Arabia “is playing with fire” in the region.
According to al-Arabiya, the Saudi official said that the Iranian regime had forgotten that it had no right to violate the sovereignty of Bahrain by interfering in its affairs or the affairs of any other Gulf state.
He added that the regime’s statements have intentionally neglected the fact that Tehran was interfering in the affairs of its neighbours and violating their sovereignty in a way that contradicts with all the international laws and traditions.
The senior official also referred to the Iranian regime’s interference in Kuwait through a number of spy cells that were recently revealed.
