Russia Pledges to Expel Militias From Syria and Slam Stubborn Heads Into the Ground

NCRI – According to Saudi’s Okaz newspaper on January 4, “Russia has pledged to expel all militias from Syria and slam the stubborn heads into the ground.”

The Iranian regime is now on the edge of a precipice in Syria. Prior to signing the agreement between the Syrian opposition and Russia which was attended by Turkey, the Russians sent an armed group of Sunni Chechens to Aleppo to monitor the security in the city, thus moving away from Aleppo all the Iraqi, Iranian and Hezbollah militias who were previously in charge. In a move to signal the Iranian regime, Russia has threatened to hit any militia group who defies leaving Aleppo.

Credible information received by Okaz shows that Turkey and Russia have agreed on withdrawal of all the militias, including Iranian regime’s, from Syria.

“If the conference in Astana is successful, Russia will use its military force for expelling militias from Syria, so as to ensure a ‘Syria-Syria’ peace deal. Upon finding out about Turkey-Russia’s stance on Syria, the Iranian regime launched a fierce and harsh propaganda against Turkish President ‘Erdogan’, and, along with the Syrian regime, made destructive remarks on Astana meeting, assuming that Astana is the starting point for clearing Syria of Iranian regime backed militias”, added Okaz.

In coordination with Iranian regime, Assad’s regime also attempted to break the truce to bring the situation back to square one, thereby justifying the presence of Iranian regime’s militias in Damascus suburbs. Russia’s message to the Iranian regime and its allies in Syria, however, was quite clear: Russia intends to handle the Syrian case alone, both militarily and politically.
