Rafsanjani: History has shown that we will not have a bright future

NCRI – Rafsanjani, the head of regime’s Expediency Council admitted people’s hatred of the mullahs’ dictatorship and warned various bands of regime that: should this process continue, we will not have a bright future.

Rafsanjani who was talking at a gathering of mullahs’ seminary in the city of Qom, expressed concerns about the consequences of continued suppression and what he called “closed space’ and said: “If we cannot attain the satisfaction of the majority of the people, the history has shown that we will not succeed and we will not have a bright future,” government-run ILNA news agency reported on July 2.

Rafsanjani who was forced out as the head of the regime’s Council of Experts, clearly characterized suppression of the youth under the guise of societal security as ineffective and useless; pointing out people’s anger and hatred, he said: “Increased pressure is less effective and in each plan that is carried out, the realities of the society must be considered and actions that are fantasized should be avoided, “ ILNA reported.

Jahan News, which is affiliated with Khamenei’s band, attacked Rafsanjani for this warning and wrote: “In fact, the most important fantasies in the words and actions of Mr. Rafsanjani are their characters of having multiple meanings, that Ayatollah Yazdi pointed out. Of course, if “majority of the people” in Mr. Rafsanjani’s belief are those people that on the [religious] day of Ashura, insulted the beliefs of Shiites, it should be said that the fact of such events taking place…are the results of actions of certain non-visionary elites, and the regime does not have sufficient ‘space’ for continuation of such incitements.”
