Press release by the Iraqi Committee for Defense of Ashraf in condemnation of Ahmadinejad’s deputy’s visit to Iraq

NCRI – The visit by Mohammad Reza Rahimi, Ahmadinejad’s deputy, accompanied by a 200-strong delegation under the guise of economic delegation is one of the Iranian regime’s measures to expand its sinister rule over our people and our country. But the Iranian regime is ignorant of the fact that the era for such dreams is over and every Friday, the courageous Iraqi people and youths chant slogans asking for the expulsion and annihilation of the Iranian regime and the overthrow of its proxies in Iraq.

On behalf of the Iraqi Committee for Defense of Ashraf, we call on all national and patriotic personalities, the tribal sheikhs and the revolutionary youths to condemn such economic agreements with forces of the terrorist Qods Force; agreements that pave the way for further Iranian intervention into the affairs of Iraq.
 
We also draw the attention of the international entities and human rights organizations, especially the United Nations and the United States to the increased pressure and conspiracy by the Iranian regime against Ashraf and call on the UN to station its permanent observer team at Camp Ashraf.
