Nigerians protest Iran regime interference

Nigerian protesters in Abuja including clerics, human rights and civil society organizations on Thursday expressed their anger over the Iranian regime’s interference in the internal affairs of their country.

They also urged the federal government to expel the Iranian regime’s ambassador from Nigeria, local media reported.

Holding signs reading, “Iranian government seems to be encouraging extremism in Nigeria”, protesters urged President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately severe diplomatic ties with the Iranian regime in that country.

“Nigeria cannot afford extremism under the guise of religion which Iranian government seems to be encouraging,” they said.
