NCRI – On Saturday, a gunman killed a person and injured three others in an attack in a Copenhagen cafe during a free speech event.

On Sunday, one person was shot dead and two others wounded as a result of an attack on a synagogue in the Danish capital allegedly by the same offender.

Early Sunday morning, the gunman was shot in Copenhagen’s Norrenbro district after he opened fire at the police.

The alleged gunman, who was himself killed in a shootout with officers earlier in the day, was known to police due to his involvement in gangs, police said in a statement.

Public figures across Europe and beyond on Sunday condemned the attacks in Copenhagen that left three people dead, including the suspected perpetrator.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon strongly condemned the shooting attacks, according to a statement from his spokesman.

British Prime Minister David Cameron described the shooting ‘an appalling attack on free speech.’
Similar statements were published in European capitals.

The Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran strongly condemns the attacks on the synagogue and the event in Copenhagen and expresses deepest sympathy for the family members of the victims and injured.

Any attack against innocent people under any pretext or reason is a terrorist crime.
