Mottaki’s ousting sign of growing fissures in regime: Figaro

NCRI – The French daily Figaro wrote on Tuesday that the sacking of the Iranian regime’s foreign minister is a sign of growing tensions in the regime’s dominant factions.

Manouchehr Mottaki was dismissed as foreign minister by the mullahs’ President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad this week.

Figaro also wrote that the discovery of the regime’s illicit arms shipments by Nigeria was one of the factors that contributed to a rift between Ahmadinejad and Mottaki.

The regime’s role in exporting illegal weapons to Africa was discovered last month, showing that its terrorist Qods Force was involved.

One of the smugglers had a diplomatic passport and had traveled to Nigeria based on a recommendation by the Iranian regime’s Foreign Ministry.

Figaro said Mottaki rushed to Nigeria to control the situation in Nigeria, but he found himself in an extremely difficult position.
