Khamenei aid says Ahmadinejad was forced back into the job

NCRI – The deputy representative of the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his senior advisor, Esfandiar Rahim Mashai, are very close together to the extent that removal of one of them would result in eliminating the other.

According to the state-run Asr-e Iran, Mojtaba Zolnour said, “In the 11 days that Ahmadinejad had removed himself from the political scene, 200 figures in the establishment talked him either by phone or in person, but it did not help. I think Ahmadinejad did not appear on the job again willingly, but due to compulsion and involuntarily.”

He added, “The Parliament was in disarray and the deadline had ended. If Ahmadinejad had not shown up that day at work, then he would have been summoned to Parliament.”
