NCRI – Following intensification of crisis at the top of the clerical regime, Jafari, the infamous commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps said: Arresting those close to Ahmadinejad were carried out by the IRGC and more arrests are underway, state-run Mehr News Agency reported on July 5.
Jafari said: “Considering that IRGC is the arm of the Judiciary, and also because the case of dealing with the deviated current has special complexities, the Judiciary determined that the IRGC should arrest and imprison these people,” Mehr News Agency reported.
He added: “The arrested individuals have had close relations with the main leaders of this current. These people were trying to attain their goals by using their powers or by getting closer to centers of power and wealth.”
Jafari warned: “We have to prepare ourselves for larger scale deviations and complexities that may emerge in future on the path of revolution.”
