Iraqiya says remarks by Iranian regime FM constitute meddling in Iraqi affairs

Hydar al-MollaNCRI – The al-Iraqiya coalition has condemned in a statement recent remarks by the Iranian regime’s foreign minister as an attempt to meddle in Iraqi affairs.

The grouping’s spokesman said in a press release, “Statements by [Iranian regime FM Manouchehr] Mottaki about the creation of a majority political system and accusing of certain political forces underscore the Iranian regime’s blatant meddling in Iraqi affairs.”

“Iraqis do not need the recommendations and proposals of Mottaki about the creation of their government. If he is capable of making recommendations, may be as a top priority, he should propose something to his own regime so that it can confront regional, international and domestic crises stemming from its aggressive policies.”

The press release added, “With regards to the bombings that targeted the Iraqi nation, the Iraqi government, all political sides, the US and the entire world are aware of the Iranian regime’s export of weapons, explosive packages and car bombs to Iraq. They are also aware of the training of the terrorist Al Qaeda organization by the Iranian regime, some of which were exposed by the WikiLeaks documents.”
