Iraqi MPs: Political agreement between Iraqi government and Iranian regime to further expand Iranian regime’s role in Iraq after U.S. withdrawal

NCRI – Heydar Molla, an Iraqi MP from al-Iraqia Coalition told AKA News Agency on July 19 that: Nouri al-Maliki is trying to increase the influence of the Iranian regime in Iraq after the withdrawal of American troops. He added: “Al-Maliki’s fingerprint in the Iranian regime’s invasion and shelling of the Kurdistan’s border regions are the best reasons that show his intentions and goals for expanding Iranian regime’s intervention in Iraq after withdrawal of U.S. forces.”

Heydar Mollah added: “The responsibility of security breaches and aggression in Iraq, as well as incidents such as disproportionate cases of murder, terrorist explosions, and border invasions lie with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki because he is the commander in chief of the armed forces.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Zafir al-Ani, a leader of al-Iraqia told al-Rafedain TV that Iraqi government’s ineptitude vis-à-vis Iranian regime has allowed that regime to go as far as occupying Iraq. He added: “Revealed intelligence indicate that there is a political agreement between the Iranian regime and the Iraqi government.”

Al-Ani said: The Iranian regime tears up the Iraqi flag, blocks the Alvand River to flow to Iraq, encourages the death brigades, occupies Iraqi land, and cuts off the power to the hospitals in the Iraqi province of Basra, but the current deficient and illegal government of Iraq not only remains silent, but also praises the Iranian regime in an unacceptable manner.
