Iraqi MP: Iranian regime’s aggression against Iraq due to Maliki’s weakness; Parliament will weigh options to respond

NCRI – Shalan Abdul-Karim, Iraqi MP from the al-Iraqya Coalition said that the Maliki government cannot address the Shelling of Iraq by Iran, because the Iranian regime has influenced Iraq’s policymaking process and has dominated the political decision making in Iraq, al-Baghdadia Television reported on July 21.

He added that the fact that the government does not have a position concerning Iranian regime’s border invasion, shelling Iraqi Kurdistan’s province villages near the border, and cutting off the waters of Alvand River, is due to Maliki’s weakness.

According to al-Baghdadia TV, Abdul-Karim criticized signing a new economic agreement with the Iranian regime while that regime invades Kurdistan region and said: “The Parliament is waiting for the truth finding committee’s report to discuss the options for responding to the Iranian regime’s aggression.”
