Iraqi group calls for investigation of workers bus bombing by Iranian terrorists

NCRI – Iraqi People’s Popular Congress condemned the clerical regime’s terrorist attack against Iraqi workers of Ashraf City, where Iran’s Mojahedin opposition is based.

Referring to the bombing of the bus carrying Iraqi workers on May 29, the group stressed that such actions are criminal acts against an organization which enjoys the full right to refugee status in Iraq. These rights have been recognized by the UN resolutions, the 1961 Vienna Convention and the 1969 Diplomatic and Political Rights Treaty.

“We, therefore, condemn the heinous act that has targeted Iraqi people and cost the lives of a dozen Iraqi workers and demand full investigation into the incident and justice for the perpetrators,” concluded the statement by the Iraqi People’s Popular Congress.
