Iranian Resistance strongly condemns murder of French hostage

The Iranian Resistance has condemned the killing of the French hostage Hervé Gourdel as an cowardly act that touches the deepest consciousness of the international community and once again demonstrates the danger posed by terrorist extremists acting under the name of Islam to commit such heinous crimes.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the president-elect of the Iranian Resistance strongly condemned the crime and presented her ‘deepest condolences’ to the family of Mr Gourdel, the French people, the French President, its government and elected members, and expressed her support for the French President’s determination in not giving into barbarism.

This crime is not only an attack against the values of humanity but an attack on the values of Islam. Indeed groups that carry out heinous crimes under the name of Islam, have nothing to do with the religion or with Muslims. It is the religious dictatorship ruling Iran that set such a precedent and continues to be the epicenter of the disastrous phenomenon of Islamic fundamentalism and extremism.
