“some members of the Iraqi parliament have accused Saudi Arabia and Qatar of having a hand in bombings in the country and plotting to disintegrate the country,” IRIB reported on Friday.
Citing report by an Iraqi media outlets affiliated to the Iranian regime, the mullahs’ state-run network claimed that the two countries are helping al- Qaeda in Iraq to fuel sectarian fighting in Iraq.
The claims by the Iranian regime’s state-run network and also Iraqi media outlets close to the mullahs comes at the time that the real ruler in Iraq is Qasim Suleimani, the commander of the Iranian regime’s Quds Force.
“He is the most powerful man in Iraq without question,” Iraq’s former national security minister, Mowaffak al-Rubaie, told the newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat in July 2010. “Nothing gets done without him.”
In July 2011, the Guardian British wrote: “The US – and some key neighbouring Sunni states – believe Iran’s strategy in Iraq as the conflict winds down is to keep the country in a permanent but manageable state of chaos.”
The daily quoted Major General Jeffrey Buchanan, senior US military spokesman in Iraq as saying the Iranian regime’s “overall strategy has been to keep [Iraq] isolated from the rest of its neighbours and from the US, because that makes it likely that it will depend on Iran. They want Iraq to play a subordinate, weak role.”
“Qassem Suleimani is the key man to every decision taken in Iraq,” he said.
