Iranian regime’s embassy officer deported from Azerbaijan

NCRI – The Iranian regime’s embassy in Azerbaijan has confirmed that the head of its Cultural Center’s Finance Department has been deported from that country, an Azerbaijan news website reported.

A member of the Iranian regime’s parliament has also stated that Ahmad Ahmadzade has been deported from Azerbaijan Acting Chairman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranian Parliament, Mansour Haqiqatpour, said in an interview with state-run media.

Also an Iranian national was detained near the Israeli embassy in the capital Baku on Oct. 31 but his arrest was made public last Wednesday, when state TV showed footage of police raiding an apartment.

Azeri media identified the man as Hassan Faraji, 31, with connections with Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC). Local police raided his home and found plans and photographs indicating the intention to carry out a series of attacks against diplomatic centers, according to some reports.

Azerbaijan has arrested dozens of people last year on suspicion of connections with IRGC and of plotting attacks.
