NCRI – The Iranian regime’s aggressive behavior toward Iraq is not restricted to its bombings of Kurdish border regions, but also includes its meddling in all economic, security and political spheres in Iraq, a leading politician in Iraq has said.
According to al-Rafedin TV, on Wednesday, the Iranian regime bombed parts of Erbil province in Iraq, which led to the displacement of some residents.
The spokesman for the Iraqiya List, Meysoun al-Damalouji, condemned the shelling and said the Iranian regime’s aggressions toward Iraq go beyond the bombings and include “clear interference in Iraq’s internal affairs in the security and economic spheres.”
She added, “We will not allow the Iranian regime to continue such interference. There is no equilibrium in the relations between the two countries. Sadly, Iraq is still suffering from the lack of a foreign policy that guarantees its interests.”
She accused the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of not working with the Parliament to resolve such issues.
