The station’s signals were jammed on Wednesday morning while people speaking in Farsi could be heard in the background, it said.
It said the incident showed the Iranian regime’s dangerous meddling in Iraqi affairs which aim to disrupt the country’s freedom of the press.
In an interview with al-Rafedin, Sarmad Abdolkarim, the director of Iraq’s news agency, said, “The TV has to be proud of this because it clearly and definitively shows that al-Rafedin is directly threatening the Iranian regime’s occupation and neutralizing its plots.”
“It is clear that the invading clerical regime is very worried about the truth beaming through al-Rafedin and reaching the Iraqi people,” he added.
