Iranian regime is paying tuitions of seminary students from 9 countries, cleric says

NCRI – The Iranian regime is currently paying for the tuition of students from 9 countries studying at seminaries in Iran, said a high ranking cleric in Qum on Thursday, September 26.

Naser Makarem Shirazi said that the preachers of countries India, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Azerbaijan are currently receiving their tuition from Iran. However, he did not mention anything about the sources and amount of tuition received.

The Friday preacher of Isfahan also mentioned last year on September 18 that Ali Khamenei, the Iranian Supreme Leader, is operating 20 religious seminars in Lebanon, Pakistan and other African countries.

A report issued in May by an Argentine prosecutor cited evidence of “local clandestine intelligence networks” organized by the Iranian regime in several South American countries.

The document said Tehran of using religious and cultural programs as cover to create a “capability to provide logistic, economic and operative support to terrorist attacks decided by the Islamic regime.”

In a report by the Washington Post in August, a Mexican students revealed how he received a plane ticket and a scholarship to a mysterious school in Iran as a guest of the Iranian regime.
