A former deputy of Ministry of Intelligence and Security has confirmed that all those around Hassan Rohani are from the infamous Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security just like those that worked with Mohammad Khatami.
Below is the text of a question and answer published in state-run daily Etemad on Saturday July 6:
Question: These days, some people are criticizing that those around Hassan Rohani are from the security and intelligence forces. Is there any concerns that a security viewpoint would affect decisions to be made by his government? Right now former minister and deputies of the Intelligence Ministry have a key role, Ali Younesi (former Intelligence Minister), Ali Rabii, Ashena, Sadeq and Salehi. This has caused great concern for the future for some politicians. How do you see this issue?

I am sorry that even our veteran journalists have not realized yet that the 2nd Khordad which was a civil act by Mohamad Khatami was assisted by several friends and colleagues that all were from the intelligence forces. The brain of the reformists, hopefully gets cured, was Saeed Hajarian. He was among the founders of the Intelligence Ministry. Prior to this he handled the intelligence issues in the prime minister’s cabinet.
