The American General, said rocket and mortar attacks by groups backed by Iranian regime were "more effective than before". "Now they have sophisticated launch systems," Lynch added.

He said to the western media that increasingly sophisticated attacks carried out by these groups in Iraq was evidence that they were getting extra aid from Iranian regime.
The general said that in recent weeks his troops had detained 25 persons who had been trained in Iranian regime or by Iranian-linked groups in Iraq.
"There is a marked Iranian influence," he said, adding that some of the 146 US troops from his command who had been killed succumbed to "Iranian ammunition".
