IRAN: Mullahs role in arms trafficking to Africa revealed

NCRI – A group of independent arms-trafficking researchers investigating ammunition used in African conflicts over recent years has been able to link them to the Iranian regime, the New York Times reported Saturday.

For six years, the researchers worked to pin down the source of the mystery Kalashnikov rifle cartridges circulating through the ethnic violence in Darfur and in 2009 in a stadium in Conakry, Guinea, where soldiers had fired on antigovernment protesters, killing more than 150.

Finally the investigators reached a breakthrough. The Kalashnikov rifle cartridges were made in Iran.

“The ammunition was linked to spectacular examples of state-sponsored violence and armed groups connected to terrorism,” the report said.
