The body of a member of the Quds Force, killed in Syria, was buried on Friday (January 9), with the presence of a group of commanders in the city of Eshtehard in the Alborz Province.

News media affiliated with the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) and Basij paramilitary forces have introduced Hossein Ahmadi as a member of the IRGC’s Quds Force, which at the beginning of the conflict in Syria was dispatched to this country.

This is the first time that the IRGC affiliated media have officially announced that a member of the “Quds” has been killed in clashes in Syria.

These media describe the members of IRGC and Basij dispatched to Syria or Iraq as the defenders of holy shrines and do not reveal their military affiliations.
Dozens of Iranian Revolutionary Guards have been killed there since the start of the conflict in Syria, including several senior military commanders.
