Iran: Iraqi cleric arrested in Qom

NCRI – Iranian regime has arrested Ahmad Qabanji, a Iraqi Shiite cleric. Qabanji’s family said that he was arrested on Feb. 18, 2013 in the city of Qom, southwest of Tehran.

The reason behind his arrest, as well as the location at which he is being detained, has not been announced.

A number of Iraqis demonstrated on Thursday before the Iranian regime’s embassy in Baghdad demanding the release Ahmed al-Qubanchi.
