Iran: Any attack on Syria is considered an attack on Iran

NCRI- Ali Akbar Velayati, an aide to Iranian regime’s supreme leader Khamenei said Saturday that any attack on Syria would be deemed an attack on Iran. Velayati who was Iran’s foreign minister for 16 years, was interviewed by the State-run news agency, Mehr.

Referring to the coalition between the Iranian regime, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah as a “golden arch of resistance” and “the resistance front,” he emphasized “Syria has an essential role in whether or not the resistance front will move forward or God forbid collapses! For this same reason, an attack on Syria is considered an attack on Iran and Iran’s allies.”

Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, in a speech addressing dozens of French elected representatives and mayors at Auvers-Sur-Oise on January 13, underscored that “the overthrow of the Assad dictatorship is part of the process to overthrow Tehran’s mullahs.”

Based on reports by international human rights organizations, more than 60,000 people have been reported Killed in Syria by Assad’s dictatorship until now, with the Iranian government providing financial support, arms, and technical aid to Assad. The commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, said last September that the IRGC had high-level advisers in Syria.
