Iran: 800 killed by land mines every year

NCRI – The commander Yar Ahmadi of the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards Corps stated that every year more than 800 people were killed in Iran by land mines left in the former war zones and hundreds of others were hurt and lamed.

He declared that Iran under the fundamentalist theocracy was the second country in the world with the highest number of minefields that have not been cleared. In Iran, there are still 16,000 land mines buried in the ground 18 years after the Iran-Iraq war. The mullahs’ regime has taken no measure to neutralize them.
