White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters during a June 2 press briefing, “We’ve obviously been very clear about what we believe Iranian action has been, and the hypocrisy of Iran’s pretending to support or its support for the popular unrest in other countries, even as it has brutally suppressed popular and peaceful demonstrations in its own country.”
“We have maintained, along with the IAEA, about the grave concerns we have about Iran’s nuclear program,” he added.
“There are a host of measures that are in place” against the Iranian regime, Carney said.
