Captured Houthi member discloses IRGC role in Yemen

Commanders of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) supervise Houthis’ military operations in Aden Airport, a Houthi taken prisoner in Yemen revealed.

The Houthi member that was taken prisoner in Aden revealed that five commanders of the Iranian regime’s IRGC are overseeing their operations in Aden.

Yemeni new website Aden Alghad quoted him as saying: “The IRGC commanders speak in Farsi and we do not understand them. Commander of Houthi militias in Aden by the name of Saleh was the only one who could understand these commanders. He is responsible for translating and transferring information from the Iranian commanders to the militias.”

U.S. and Arab officials have numerously pointed to the fact that the Iranian regime gives political, financial and military support to the Houthis.

Iranian regime’s meddling in the region, particularly in Yemen, was among the topics discussed at the Camp David Summit with GCC leaders last week.
